As of this writing, I’m just finishing up Chapter 9 of “Online Community Management For Dummies.” In order to have it launch at BlogWorld West in Los Angeles in early November, I’m up ’til all hours of the night writing at breakneck speed. Even at this early date, it’s the most rewarding experience of my professional writing career. So I’m sure you can imagine how proud I am to tell you “Online Community Management For Dummies
” is available for pre-order.
It’s kind of surreal to link to a sales page to a book I’m not even finished writing, but since it’s my book I can tell you what readers can expect:
- Why community managers are necessary
- A look at a community manager’s role
- What makes up a healthy community
- Handling negativity
- Learning from other communities
- Offline community building
- Using stats and alerts
…and quite a bit more. I don’t want to give it all away now. I’m not going to give you a smarmy sales pitch either, because I hate those.
As many of you have been part of my online family for many years, you can probably understand my excitement over this news. Even if you’re not interested in reading my book, thank you so much for your support and encouragement throughout the years and for indulging me as I share my news.
